Eating a thick, juicy, sizzling hot dog and drinking an ice-cold beverage sounds delicious.
It’s not if the hot dog is processed and the beverage is a diet soda with aspartame. These foods are toxic.
We never think that eating certain foods could kill us from the inside. Let’s look at some cancer-causing foods.
Consuming meats like processed pork and beef, sausage, bacon, salami, bologna, prosciutto, hot dogs, lunch meats, and ham seems normal.
However, these processed meats can cause colon or colorectal cancer. The risk of cancer arises not from the meat itself but from how the meat is processed through curing or smoking. Cooking these meats causes nitrites to mix with the meat’s natural amines and release carcinogens (“12 Foods Cancer Docs Try to Never Eat,” 2019).
The preservatives and chemicals in processed meats are also carcinogenic.
The meats may have been produced using other carcinogenic materials. Smoked meats are exposed to high acidity or high heat temperatures.
Such high temperature levels are considered dangerous because the meats absorb tar from the smoking process. This is the same type of tar found in cigarettes.
The excess salts and chemicals used to make processed meats are also major health hazards (“Avoid These Top 12 Cancer-Causing Foods You Probably Eat Every Day,” 2019).
Consumption of excess salt can cause pancreatic cancer or cancer of the gastrointestinal tract.
High blood pressure is the most common result of consuming excessively salty foods like potato chips and the preservatives in these foods.
Consuming a consistently high salty diet can cause osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, and obesity (“12 Foods Cancer Docs Try to Never Eat,” 2019).
The same process used to give potato chips their crispy texture also produces a carcinogen found in cigarettes (“Avoid These Top 12 Cancer-Causing Foods You Probably Eat Every Day,” 2019).
The lining of the bag that seals microwave popcorn contains chemicals that the popcorn kernels readily absorb.
This can result in tumors, infertility, and carcinogens that may cause liver or pancreatic cancer or possibly testicular cancer in men.
A chemical used in the contents of popcorn can lead to lung cancer (“The 10 Most Cancer Causing Foods,” 2014).
Microwave popcorn’s artificial butter flavoring contains a highly toxic substance that quickly releases fumes that can cause lung cancer (“12 Foods Cancer Docs Try to Never Eat,” 2019).
The popcorn kernels and oil are most probably produced from genetically modified organisms (GMOs) (“Top 10 Cancer Causing Foods: Understanding what Causes Cancer,” 2016).
The lining of most canned foods contain a chemical called BPA that increases the risk of prostate cancer, breast cancer, infertility, early puberty, metabolic disorders, type-2 diabetes, and brain cancer (“9 Foods Most Likely to Cause Cancer,” 2015).
The foods that are inside the can aren’t the problem. The problem resides within the BPA lining of the can that seeps into food.
Food is then contaminated with these toxic chemicals as more BPA seeps into the food. The worst of these canned products are canned tomatoes and canned tomato products.
Tomatoes are extremely acidic and excess BPA seeps into them. People then consume more BPA in the process (“Avoid These Top 12 Cancer-Causing Foods You Probably Eat Every Day,” 2019).
Soda has excess sugar, refined sugars, high-fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, dyes, and chemicals such as caramel color.
All these chemicals make our body more acidic and feed cancer cells. Diet soda and other diet beverages are worse than regular sugar-laden soda.
Diet sodas contain aspartame, sucrose, saccharin, and other artificial sweeteners that may cause cancer (“The 10 Most Cancer Causing Foods,” 2014).
Aspartame is worse than rat poison to the human cells, and it causes several illnesses that include birth defects and cancer.
Sodas provide absolutely no nutritional value and rob our body of vital nutrients we obtain from other nutritious foods (“Top 10 Cancer Causing Foods: Understanding what Causes Cancer,” 2016).
Certain foods can cause cancer. Processed meats can cause colorectal cancer while Pickled foods can cause gastrointestinal cancer.
High salt foods can cause pancreatic cancer, and microwave popcorn can cause lung cancer.
Canned foods can cause prostate and breast cancer while soda feeds cancer cells.
